Julius Maada Bio Women’s Wing Launched in Bo and Kenema
The greatest support any statesman needs to achieve his vision for women empowerment is to have a wife who passionately cares about women issues and has a common touch for ordinary women.
The initiative of Mrs Fatima Bio to create a Julius Maada Bio Wing to serve as a platform for women empowerment in Sierra Leone is growing by leaps and bounds. From educated women, members of parliament and to grassroots women, the women empowerment initiative has brought women together from different tribes, regions and backgrounds.
On Tuesday 29th December 2015 in the city of Bo women of different backgrounds graced the launching of Julius Maada Bio Wing at the SLPP Party Office. Various speakers including Mrs Fatima Bio explained to the audience the objectives of the Julius Maada Bio Women’s Wing initiative and encouraged women to play active role in the development of women.
From Bo, Mrs Fatima Bio and entourage travelled to Kenema where Julius Maada Bio Women’s Wing was also launched on Wednesday 30th December 2015 at the SLPP party Office. In Kenema, Mrs Fatima Bio and various speakers re-echoed their same messages in Bo and also reiterated the point that women empowerment is very close to the heart of Rtd. Brig. Bio.
