Big shake up at National Stadium

Tuesday, October 27th, this year was a confusing moment at the National Stadium in Freetown when rumours on the evacuation of flood victims in the next three weeks did the rounds.

According to Abdul Akim Koroma, also known as Bobor for you mot, he disclosed to this press that the rumour was untrue.

He further disclosed that concerned personnel at the National Stadium were of the opinion there were many people living at the National Stadium who were not flood victims.

He said Government should do proper investigations to identify and register all persons in the areas that were affected by the flood.

Koroma told this paper that he was ordered by the management to tell the people to calm down and continue with their normal business.

He said when the time comes for them to be relocated it will be President Ernest Bai Koroma who will make the announcement.

In an interview with a medical personnel from Hope International, Mr. Alusine Kargbo, he said that the issue of the long term stay of people affected by the flood is threatening to the ongoing economic status in the country.

He disclosed that his organization has been helpful to Ebola victims likewise flood victims helping them with medicines.

He called on the government to carefully look into the current issue at the National Stadium and the Atouga Mini Stadium and help take the bad ones from the good ones so that those who deserve the relief assistance will get it.

Kargbo further said that the situation has been put on hold with ongoing fear among the fake victims who fear that they will soon be found out.
