Le 10m Bail for Alleged Vehicle Fraudster

Sao Marrah on Monday, 10^th August, 2015, pleaded not guilty on one count charge of fraudulent conversion contrary to law. He made the plea before Magistrate Siray Wurie of Court no. 1 in Freetown.

According to the charge sheet, on November 22^nd 2014, the accused (Sao Marrah) at 10 Small Drive Off Tengbeh town Freetown fraudulently converted one Four Runner Toyota jeep with registration number AGT 222 valued at Le 12 million entrusted to him by complainant, Abdul Karim Fofanah.

In his submission, the Defense Lawyer FB Kelfala applied for bail on the grounds that his client will not jump bail as he possessed credible sureties, will not interfere with the prosecution witness and will be ready to attend court punctually.

The accused was granted bail in the tune of ten million Leones with two sureties each who should be residents of the Western area and bail condition should be approved by the Master and Registrar while the matter adjourned to 12^th August, 2015.
