Sierra Leoneans Ready to Embrace CRC Outcome
The Executive Secretary, Constitutional Review Committee (CRC), Samuel Coker has assured the nation that come March 2016 the outcome on the Constitutional Review will be made public.
Mr. Coker made this disclosure on a one day media engagement with the press on the topic Ethical and Objective reporting held yesterday Monday 27th 2015 at the CRC Conference Hall Brookfield’s in Freetown.
He emphasized the crucial role the media has played in educating the people on the mandate of the Constitutional Review Committee while calling on the public to deviate from activities that will hinder the review process.
In his presentation, Head of Mass Communication Department Fourah Bah College, Tonia Musa described the exercise as timely as refreshing the minds of Journalists and Civil Society Organizations on the mandates of the Committee cannot be over emphasized adding that Journalists and other media users need to fully understands the political and legal ramifications of the CRC process.
Tonia Musa concluded saying the chief motive of the said engagement is to make the entire process visible and credible to all actors through media dissemination to the general public.
