Melrose during declares for Constituency 107
The former Councilor of ward 379 in constituency 107, Melrose During on Monday, 20th July, disclosed to this medium that she is running for the APC symbol to contest the bye- Election in Constituency 107 following the death of the Late Hon. Osho Williams.
In a snap interview at the Sierra Express Media Office in Freetown, she highlighted her numerous development projects in the constituency during her tenure as Councilor.
Madam During noted that she was able to donate learning materials and scholarships to schools within her ward. She furthered that as Councilor she was able to partner with S.V. Electricals to construct water dam, 4 toilets and 3 bathrooms at Borbo Comboh, rehabilitated 4 toilets at Chakaradi Corner with funds from Concern Worldwide and also constructed steps at Wellington Street among others.
“With my experience as Councilor coupled with my development landmark are pointers that I am up to the task hence the reason for vying for the symbol,” she said.
She concluded that the shortage of water remains a big problem in Constituency 107 which, if given the opportunity, she will address with the utmost urgency it deserves.
