4 Yr child sexually abused no bail for 28 yr offender

Magistrate Albert Moody of Freetown magistrate Court No. 2, July 8th, refused to grant bail to a notorious child abuser, Amadu Bah aka “Bigger,” who stands accused of sexually penetrating a four-year-old girl child.

According to court records, the accused who is a motor mechanic, on 10th May, 2015, at Ogoo Lane, Brookfield’s, Freetown, had sexual penetration with the infant, thereby contravening section 19 of the offence Act No.12 of 2012.

As a preliminary trial, no plea was taken by the accused. Assistant Superintendent of police, Tommy Zizer is prosecuting the matter while the accused is presently unrepresented.

The accused was refused bail on the grounds that the offence pressed against him is so rampant these days and that if granted bail, there is the likelihood that he will tamper with the witnesses.

When questioned by the bench about his involvement, he denied the allegation levied against him.

The accused further told the magistrate that he was partially blind and is a man who is generous to children which is why he has been roped by relatives of the alleged victim.

The matter was adjourned to a later date.
