Dangote of Nigeria Wants to Open Sierra Leone Cement Operation
April 19 (Bloomberg) — Alhaji Aliko Dangote, founder and chairman of Dangote Industries Ltd. of Nigeria, intends to open cement and flour factories in Sierra Leoneâ€™s port in the capital, Freetown.
Dangote would import raw materials for production and ship the bulk of the finished product as exports should his companies be granted licenses, he said at a presentation in Freetown today.
The Sierra Leone Port Authority is allegedly in the process of selling the state-owned port.
