Insons Launches Online Shopping
Insons, a local business entity, in collaboration with Airtel and the United Bank for Africa (UBA), on Thursday 18th June, 2015 at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel, Aberdeen in Freetown, launched Sierra Leone’s first online shopping website. Insons Media Consultant, Winston Ojukutu Macauley Jnr. said online shopping is fairly better and cheaper than what is obtained from physical shopping adding, “you can shop from everywhere as long as you are connected to the internet.”
Insons’ Chief Executive Officer, Dilip Narwani disclosed that the online concept is becoming the order of the day globally although it is now being introduced in Sierra Leone that would move the country a step ahead in the digital world and enhance development revealing, “the website is www.insons.net. You can buy online all electrical appliances and other products.”
UBA Managing Director, Ejiofor Ndubuisi revealed that they are pioneering a new process of cashless banking that allows customers to do transactions everywhere and at any time to buy products online with relative ease by using their Master Cards or Airtel Money transaction, intimating, “the website is built to readily accept all types of master cards in a flexible and customized manner. I want to assure payment for products bought at Insons website that is safe and secured.”
Airtel Managing Director, Sudipto Chowdhury expressed delight for being part of the new online process of Insons explaining, “online shopping means buying what you want from anywhere in the world. This is empowering consumers, a new era in Sierra Leone.”
Sudipto Chowdhury further acclaimed the management of Insons for the innovation in the now digitalized world.
The display of Insons products online such as office stationeries and equipment, kitchen and house electronic appliances, climaxed the ceremony.
