Leone Stars start Sudan Preparation
Leone Stars has already started their Preparation for Sunday AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Sudan with their first open day training session in Khartoum with a total of eighteen players after the team reached in Sudan during the early hours of Tuesday morning around 5 am local Sudanese time.
The Leone Stars side which is dominated with home based players and coaching staff breezed into the city in high team spirit for this tough opener on Sunday with Team Technical Director John Jebbor Sherrington await a tough task for that all important clash.
The 4 invited foreign – based players invited for the African Cup of Nations qualifier has already arrived in camp but there are still mix feelings within the Leone Stars camp indicating why the bulk of the invited foreign base players turned down the invitation for this all important match.
Head of competition at the FA Sorie Ibrahim Sesay said they invited 8 foreign based players but it was only 4 that was able to respond to the FA call they are Mohamed Medo Kamara, John Kamara, Umarau Bangura and Mohamed Bangura, as it stand for now we are going to make the best selection for the day with the players available Sorie Ibrahim Sesay noted.
