“Obi Metzger vow to take position back
Obi Metzger Jr says he will continue to fight for a first-team spot at Haka FCdespite having spent the Second half of 2014-15 Finnish League Season playing as a second striker role at the club.
The 26-year-old re- join the club from injury during the second half of the league but was limited to only five starts in all competitions as he only came from the bench losing his first team position to Finnish U-21 striker Ralph Modensen.
Yet the Sierra Leonean insists he is happy at the club but he want his position as the club point striker
“I want the club to trust me and to give me the opportunity to fight for my place. I have always seen myself as a player and have never doubted my ability. I will continue to fight to reach my targets.”.
“I don’t feel I have to change anything, I will continue working as before. You always want to start games, and my dream has not changed,” he stated.
My intension is to get back to my position within the shortest time and I believe it only takes hard work and determination as I want to be in the national team squad for the AFCON qualifiers
