Wellington Bike riders Appeal to CSE, SLRA

The Chairman of Wellington Bike Riders Union, Mr. Sallu Turay alias BIGGER is appealing to the CSE Construction Company and the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) to install solid speed bumps between the Sierra Leone Produce Marketing Board junction and Brewery Factory junction to contain the perpetual accidents.

Speaking to this press, Mr. Turay highlighted the frequency of accidents as unsatisfactory, despite personal advice to their riders but said, he thinks the speed bumps will go a long way to curb the frequency of road accidents in that vicinity.

Chairman Turay also disclosed that the Union has strategized identification codes for their members and bikes under jurisdiction for easy identification.  Furthermore, the Union has organized its membership to conform to the laid down principles of the Union and has arrested several law breakers, some fined and recalcitrant riders handed over to the police.

The chairman revealed that, management has completed the renovation of their office and very soon management will purchase a special bike for the Union. He called on the general membership to make a good use of the first aid kit provided at the office.
