Council, Ministries face Parliament today

The Bo City Council, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Agriculture, are to face parliament today on the invitation of the Parliamentary Oversight Committee on Transparency and Accountability, chaired by Hon. Claude Kamanda.

Reports say the council and the two ministries were invited to face parliament after the committee discovered discrepancies in their reports during a recent hearing it conducted in Bo.

Our sources reveal that during the committee’s hearing in Bo, it was found out that the Ministry of Education was spending more money on rehabilitation than on reconstruction and that the Bo City Council and the Ministry of Agriculture consumed a huge amount of fuel for which they could not properly account.
