FIFA agent to storm Freetown
Ahmet Arslan (in photo) agent of Sierra Leone midfielder Alfred Zagalo Sankoh will be in Freetown this week, the purpose of his visit is to scout for more Sierra Leonean players when Sierra Leone will host Seychelles in the 2015 African Nations Cup qualifiers First leg encounter.
Speaking to Sierra Express Media Sport, the 46 year old Turk said, “I noticed that Sierra Leone has a lot of quality footballers they are very clever, strong and positive in their career, all of these I have seen in Sankoh that is what is opting me to come.”
He further maintained that he does not believe in watching players on DVD like other agents who do not watch players live in action. According to him, this is not good business. “I want to see more Sierra Leonean players, I will be in Freetown with Sankoh and my scouting will start from the Leone Stars training till the match day, by then I will be convinced of any player that attracts me.”
Arslan who is the leading soccer agent for International Soccer Bank has secured clubs and contracts for 14 African players in the last 2 years 7 months and is hoping to do more before the year ends. He is also active with clubs in Europe, America, Africa, and Asia.
Meanwhile, whilst in Freetown, Ahmet Arslan will meet with the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Madam Isha Johansen, and executives, and Sierra Leone football Legend Mohamed Kallon, to discuss possible plans of some football projects with the International Soccer Bank.
