Khazar Lankaran sign Sierra Leone midfielder

Sierra Leone International midfielder, Alfred Zagalo Sankoh (in photo) has signed a two year contract with Azerbaijan Premier League club Khazar Lankaran FK for an undisclosed fee.

The deal is worth closed to $1million dollars in wages, including add-on.

According to report, the Azerbaijan club was desperate to land Sankoh and finally a deal was done after meeting Sankoh’s buyout clause from Turkish club Sanliurfaspor.

‘I am very happy because I want to move forward in my career, was also very impressed with the way everything goes, and looks forward to meet my team mates in Slovenia training camp. Sankoh told SEM Sports UK.

Sankoh 25 is an attacking minded midfielder who can adapt to defensive position with lot of international experience. The Sierra Leone-born has been named in his country’s 20-man squad that will face Seychelles in the 2015 African Cup of Nations Qualifier.

He started his career with Norwegian club Stromsgodset IF in 2008, and was a versatile figure making 79 appearances before moving to Turkey in 2012.
