Bombali Council Accountant Trains in Uganda
The Bombali District Council Accountant, Mohamed Massaquoi, on Sunday 21st March 2010 departed for Uganda to attend a ten-day training program in accounting.
Mohamed Massaquoi is the only accountant among the nineteen councils in Sierra Leone to participate in the training program in Uganda for which the Bombali District Council is proud and considers it an honor.
Addressing Councilors at Bombali District Council on Mena Hills in Makeni prior to his departure, Mohamed Massaquoi assured that the training would give him the opportunity to acquire more skills in accounting in addition to understudying the methodology of the Uganda Council so that its good practices can be replicated on his return home.
Chairman, Bombali District Council, Eric Dura Sesay disclosed that council is impressed with the performance of Mohamed Massaquoi pointing out that his professionalism has resulted to Bombali District Council excelling among the other councils in the country and recalled early this year, when the Decentralization Secretariat rated the council as the best in the area of procurement.
On behalf of the Bombali District Council, Chief Administrator, Mohamed Marah, admonished other members of staff to work hard, be dedicated and take the council to higher heights worthy of emulation and acclaimed Mohamed Massaquoi for his sincerity and meritorious service to the council since 2006 that has not gone unrewarded.
Mohamed Massaquoi is expected to return home on 31st March 2010.
