Mathematically the tie is not over…Tetteh
SEM UK Sport understands that, the Ghanaian U-20 coach Sellas Tetteh, has said his players must avoid any trace of complacency as they prepares to host their West African Counterpart Sierra Leone in the 2015 Africa Youth Championship qualifier.
“Complacency is the main concern for us. We have a great preparations, but we need avoid any form of complacency, we hold the lead from the first leg but mathematically the tie is not over.
Our opponents are under no pressure. Our approach must be good and make it possible for us to advance,” Sellas Tetteh told www.ghanafa.org on the eve of the match in Tamale.
The Black Satellites will take on Sierra Leone tomorrow at the 20,000 seater Tamale Stadium. Tetteh believes his team has the quality to complete qualification but he is imploring his Black Satellites not to get ahead of themselves.
“We must be careful. I don’t expect them to sit back. As we lead, they will come out fighting for turn around the deficit but we can take advantage of that and utilize the spaces they might leave behind.”
The Ghana coach expects Sierra Leone, who are chasing the game to go on the attack.
A win for Ghana will send through to the next stage where fourteen teams will compete for the seven slots available at the finals.
Ghana are three-time winners of the Championship and silver-medallists at the last finals.
