Malisha Da Queen to launch first Disabled Beauty Contest

Upon the arrival of Malisha Da Queen, the soul Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Malisha Da Queen Charitable Organization in Freetown, and the one only Goodwill Ambassador for persons with Disability in Sierra Leone, an Association called Sierra Leone Mothers Development Association, situated in the Portee community warmly welcomed Malisha Da Queen during her arrival in the capital city of Sierra Leone, Freetown.

The welcoming ceremony was championed by the Honorable Councillor of ward 355, constituency 99, Councillor, Mr. Alusine Corade Conteh who took the delegation of youths and aged women to welcome their sister and child of the Portee community for her ever since initiative in the history of Sierra Leone if not the world who is to organize a disabled beauty pageant on the 28th April at the National Stadium in Freetown, which has never happened in the history of the country.

A grand style host was done at the Lotha Elf Primary School in Portee community in the East of Freetown. The Chairlady of the association, Mrs. Theresa Sesay said that the CEO, Madam Malisha Da Queen is an Orator who has no fear and has the quality of interacting with all walks of life, she further said that the name Malisha Da Queen has been ringing in the ears of Portee community with the saying that Malisha is a daughter of the community soil which has made them eager to meet with her for quite a long time.  On that pretext, the association made it possible to group themselves to heartily welcome Malisha from the Lungi International Airport on to Portee community in Freetown where they hosted a bomber welcome meeting with Malisha Da Queen.

In response to the community association, Malisha said that she was so impressed with the kind of delegation that gave her a bomber welcome during her arrival in the country (Sierra Leone). On that note also, Malisha Da Queen made herself available to the mothers of that association and also promised that she is with all her kind heart ready to associate herself with them at all levels anytime when she is in the country and even if she is out of the country.

During the meeting at the Lotha Elf Primary school at Portee, another group that were residing at the Ecowas Street known as the Disabled Youth Development Organization (DYDO) were also on the wait to warmly received Malisha Da Queen whom they said is their mother and savior who really cares for their welfare and at all times is ready to give them hope and confidence.

Upon the arrival of Malisha Da Queen on the ground of Ecowas Street, she told the crowd of disabled that their counterpart in Egypt, whom also she is dealing with, send a strong message of hope to those that are in Sierra Leone to work hard, more especially in the areas of middle level man power which is marketable all over the world. The further said that the cost of higher level of education all over the world today is expensive, but having the basic will lead you into all types of middle level man power trainings.

They also said that they have heard of the Disabled Beauty Contest that is to be hosted in Sierra Leone which has never happened in the world wherein they in Egypt would have wanted to participate. They finally said that it comes to regret that it is not an African Disable Beauty Contest.

They prayed that the contest will be done successfully in Sierra Leone as the first country in the world to undertake such a venture.

The welcoming of Malisha Da Queen at Ecowas Street was organized and ended in a quite and peaceful manner.

In Malisha Da Queen’s final statement, she told the disabled persons that she is ready to work hand in glove and side by side with His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s call “Agenda for Prosperity” which she said that each and every Sierra Leonean will benefit from, no matter tribe, region or affiliation.  But the disabled persons advised that the contest should be organized by the organizations or association concerned, they said that; for instant: They have Miss Abacha, Miss Ecowas Street, Miss King Jimmy etc., etc. With such suggestion made by the disabled persons whom are the beneficiaries of the beauty contest, the CEO, Madam Malisha Da Queen disclosed it with the commission and they agreed on it.

Beautiful and handsome prices were kept for the first, second and third positions, while other incentives are at the corner for the rest of the positions.

Come by April 28th to the National Stadium to witness the first disabled beauty contest in the world which is to be organized in Sierra Leone.
