Lumley community hails Sierra Leone Police
It was amazing ever in the history of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) to see and hear Sierra Leoneans shower praise to our Police Officers attached to Lumley Police Division as been doing well in terms of controlling traffic congestion, passengers and their methods of handling crimes and conflict resolution.
Speaking to Ms. Memunatu Kanu a resident in the Lumley Community, she said indeed Lumley Police Officers are very much committed in their work, adding that since the introduction of the queue system at Lumley Lorry Park by the Honorable Minister of Transport and Aviation Mr. Balogun Koroma passengers are now finding it easier to join transportation from the Park to the central part of Freetown.
Another resident of Lumley, Mr. Augustine Rogers, lauded the division traffic officers for their sacrificial hearts in maintaining the security system and traffic congestion. He also commended the operational wing of the Police Division for securing the environs with less sleep emphasizing there is no hour of the night at Lumley. He further lauded the Local Unit Commander (LUC) Chief Superintendent Alhaji Kabba Kamara for his good and timely initiative in trying to transform the Lumley Police Division from an old building to a modern one which is presently under construction. He also thanked the District Traffic Officer (DTO) Chief Superintendent Isata Fullah for her ability as a female Police Constable to jointly upkeep the affairs of the station with no fear or favor especially in the area of settling conflicts among community members.
Mr. Emmanuel Turay a commercial vehicle driver commended Traffic Police officers attached at the station as hard working, committed, faithful and always seen to be busy in executing their sacred duties. Mr. Turay observed that the Officers in question are normally maintaining the ‘Force for Good’ police code.
