Round 16 LEOCEM FA Cup commenced
Round 16 of LEOCEM F.A Cup draw took place in front of sponsors, FA Members, club representatives and the press on Friday 11th April, 2014 at the Football Academy, Kingtom.
Addressing the jam packed gathering, the Director of Competitions, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay said the competition has been Peaceful, Entertaining, and Transparent, praising the FA, and the sponsor-LEOCEM for their support in raising the game of football which is the dream of the FA President, Madam Isha Johansen.
“All 16 club representatives received the sum of Le1 million each from LEOCEM company for reaching round 16 and winners in each round will continue to grab the same amount of cash prize up to the Grand Finale,” Sorie Ibrahim assured, adding that “the Champion will receive the sum of Le 20 Million and has an automatic CAF Confederation Cup Qualification spot for 2015, and the Runner–up will receive the sum of Le 10 Million.”
The draw was done by football Guru’s like FIFA representative, Mr. Avri, LEOCEM representative, F.A General Secretary-Chris Kamara, F.A Technical Director-John Jebbor Sherrington, Coach-John Keister, ERFA Chairman-Morrison Sannoh, Referee’s Instructor-M.B Freeman, Kamboi Eagles, Sierra Fisheries and Leone Stars Legend Abdul Cole.
The round of 16 will commence on the 19th April and the likes of Dalarosa, Bo Rangers, FCFC, Grassfield United, Old Edwardians, Al-Thababan, Edmond Michael Foundation and RSLAF will host their matches and it’s a one match knock-Out.
