Sierra Leone to introduce AWOULABA
AWOULABA, an acronym, which means ‘Beautiful Woman’ in Ivory Coast and Senegal, is about to be introduced in Sierra Leone on April 3rd 2010 at the Alafia Point situated at the Lumley Beach. The move is to showcase the beauty of Sierra Leonean women.
In a statement read by John Koroma prepared by the Director, Dr. Jimmy Kamso Pratt, he pointed out that one of their objectives in AWOULABAÂ said women and girls over the years had attempted out of ignorance to destroy their colour, but he advised them to stop bleaching their natural skins, with the use of caustic cosmetics that have eroded their beauty and causing living diseases on their skins.
