The move, according to the MP, is to prevent land grabbers from encroaching on the cemetery land.
During the ceremony, Hon. Alhassan Kamara explained that even though the project would cost millions of Leones, they will not sit by and allow people to continue to encroach on the cemetery land.
He disclosed that they have already spent about thirty million leones (Le 30 million) on cement and other building materials needed for the project, adding that even though they had other problems to addressed, the fencing of the cemetery was paramount to them.
While thanking constituency youths for their active participation, Hon. Alhassan mentioned measures already put in place to effectively monitor construction work to prevent theft of building materials.
He also spoke about the donation of one hundred bags of cement for the construction of another classroom block for the Baptist Secondary School in Grafton and the unveiling ceremony of a Bus Stop at Furniture Junction, among many others.
Councilors and youths in the community lauded the strides taken by their MP and promised to rally support behind him for the development of the constituency.
