Brigadier General M M Keita gets Presidential Award
The Director of Media in the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), Colonel M.M. Samura has revealed that three awards were going to be presented to certain deserving individuals publicly to recognize the good work they have displayed
The awards included a Presidential Award described as a Medal of Gallantry presented to Brigadier General Mohamed Mamadi Keita (in photo) by the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, the Ministry of Defense Award given to Sergeant Tamba Jimmy Kay by the Minister of Defense, Retired Major Alfred Palo Conteh and a Chief of Defense Staff Award specified to RSLAF 18171265 Sergeant Joseph Dumbuya by Chief of Defense Staff, Major Samuel Omar Williams.
Presenting the Medal of Gallantry which is the Presidential Award to Brigadier General M. M. Keita who was the Chief Training Officer, Peace Keeping Force in Somalia, Colonel Samura described Brigadier General M. M. Keita as a professional and visionary Military man whose exemplary performance in the Force is vestibule.
Colonel Samura revealed that Brigadier General M.M. Keita has served the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces [RSLAF] for many years. In that regard, the RSLAF Media Director echoed that Brigadier General M.M. Keita deserves the Presidential Award.
Sergeant Tamba Jimmy Kay who gained the Ministry of Defense Award was also presented to the people of Sierra Leone by Colonel Samura as currently the Chief Driver in the RSLAF Training School and continues to play a handy role in upgrading training for the RSLAF to be sent to the United Nations Peace Keeping Mission. He noted that he therefore deserves the award which was publicly presented to him by the Defence Minister.
18171265 Sergant Joseph Dumbuya was introduced by Colonel M.M. Samura as not only a heavy duty mechanic in the RSLAF but also a forward repairing team Commander during the 2012 multitier elections, making him also deserving of the award.
