Hawks FC continue good record over Blackpool
First Division side, Hawks FC, continues their unbeaten record over Premiership side, Mighty Blackpool as both settle again for a 3-3 draw, on Tuesday, February 18 at the K-T Playing Field in Kingtom.
The match was important for both sides as before the kick-off, Hawks have played Mighty Blackpool three times, beaten one and drawing twice with them.
The first half was full of explosive display by both sides when Mighty Blackpool Striker, James Bangura, popularly known as Agogo, put his team in the lead before the break.
16 year old Hawks Striker, Amadu Barrie also known as Ten scored a brace in mid second half.
James Bangura and Abdulia Conteh both of Mighty Blackpool scored to put the score 3-2 in their favour but again Hawks leveled 3-3 in the dying minutes from the penalty spot by John Sesay (Maize) to deny Mighty Blackpool victory.
They have now met four times, have there draws and a victory for Hawks.
Speaking to this press, the Chief Executive Officer of Hawks FC, Mr. George Nelson Williams, said his boys were in good spirit before the match and a draw as visitors to a high profile Premier club is a plus to them.
Mighty Blackpool Head Coach, Abu Sankoh, praised the visitors for their bravery and commitment in the match and also praised his boys who displayed good football.
The friendly match was in preparation for the upcoming Leocem F.A. cup competition which commence over the weekend at the Football Academy at Kingtom.
