Informed FC Kellie to slug it out with Ibrahim FC this weekend in FA knock-out
The much talked about, outstanding Inform FC and Kellie FC will display their talents this weekend, Saturday 22 in a Western Area Football Association (WAFA) cup knock-out against hard cracker side Ibrahim FC at the Parade Field at 4:30pm in the Second Division category.
Fans of both teams are eager to witness this weekend’s encounter as the both have talented teenagers who have good skills, good passing, vision, athletic bodies, good scoring abilities and quality team tactics.
FC Kellie which was formed in 2007 has won several trophies; in 2013 they were unbeaten in twenty seven matches and won nine youth trophies in various youth competitions across Freetown.
About four hundred players so far have played for the club since it was formed.
FC Kellie popularly known as the “Dream Team’’ provides education, medical facilities, and disciplinary sportsmanship in the lives of its players.
Speaking to the master tactician of the club, Coach Aruna Kamara said the club is a non-profitable organization that has improved the lives of past and present players.
“We are currently constrained but we hope we get sponsorship from other institutions as a way of keeping the young players employed,” he explained.
He praised the founding member and owner of the club, Mr. Elijah Kelly, who is based in England as the only sponsor since 2007 and said he hoped other prominent football sponsors can come their aid.
The club owner started massively sponsoring the club when he lost his philanthropist father, and his funeral was overwhelm by massive crowd by those kids and needy people he has helped and that motivated him to continue where his father has left,” he revealed.
