Will Paul Kamara unite the football family?
It is no secret that the appointment of Hon. Paul Kamara as Minister of Sport is more of a curse than blessing to this country.
It is very ironic that when he was appointed most football stakeholders were delighted, thinking that he was going to resolve the numerous problems surrounding football in the country only for him to succeed in creating more problems not only in football but in other sporting disciplines as well.
He did his worst when he took sides in the executive elections of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) during which he referred to some candidates as white Sierra Leoneans, calling others gamblers, while he referred to this nation’s the greatest football legend, Mr. Mohamed Kallon as a drug addict.
It is disheartening that most times he interferes into what is supposed to be the responsibility of the SLFA and he even had the guts to embarrass the Vice President Chief Alhaji Samuel Sam Sumana at one point in time.
This is 2014, and I hope and pray that Hon. Paul Kamara too will change his bad attitudes and take good attitudes to take the leading role in uniting all football stakeholders and even other sporting disciplines so that sports will grow in the country.
