In his thank you statement, after leading a long procession from Kissy to the Miatta Conference Hall , Mr. Mohamed Kamaraimba Mansaray said if he became President of Sierra Leone in 2018 he will bring change to the country and ensure that women are given respect and equal opportunities like their male counterparts.

While noting that Teachers are the lowest paid workers in the country today, he stressed that the situation was not like that in the past and gave the assurance that when he became the next President he revise the conditions of service for Teachers to make the profession more attractive and competitive.

Mr. Mansaray further stated that the Saturday occasion was not connected with politics but rather to thank his people for welcoming him back from the United States of America.

He revealed that he was born in Port Loko and later went to Koidu in Kono. He also disclosed that he attended the Magboroka Boys Secondary School before proceeding to the United States of America where he received his Bachelors and Masters degrees.

Mr. Mansaray explained that he resigned his work in America in answer to the call from his people to come back home and lead them.

“I fervently believe that I will be the next President of Sierra Leone come 2018,” he asserted.

He informed the august gathering that as a young man with the required knowledge he is the fittest person to replace President Ernest Bai Koroma and continue with the very good work which he has started.

He also introduced four other American based Sierra Leoneans who were accompanying him on his mission to come back home and work for his people.
