Imam Sadiq Secondary School sets the pace
The Proprietor of the Imam Sadik Secondary School, Sheik Sesay (in photo), has said that he established the school in 2007 at the Mamba Ridge at Kissy and that they now have about one thousand pupils.
He disclosed that they have for the second time held a debate competition between their pupils from the Commercial and Arts Streams.
He said they conduct this debate every year so that the pupils of the school will display their knowledge and also show the effectiveness of their studies to their fellow pupils.
He revealed that they have doing very well in the BECE and WASSCE. He explained that they pay their staff from the school fees of the pupils.
He revealed that Government has now approved their school and they shall start paying their salaries.
He said they have thirty verified Teachers working while another twenty two have not yet been verified and approved by the Education Ministry.
He stated that they have a very cordial relationship with the community people, who he said are very happy that they have they school in their midst.
He however lamented that they have a land dispute with some people in the community but that it has now been established that the land on which their school is built on Government land.
