HURRARC creates Institute of the National Workforce to encourage nationwide participation

The Human Rights Respect Awareness Raising Campaigners (HURRARC) based at Shell Old Road, Kissy, on the eastern outskirts of Freetown, has concluded six days of activities for the annual commemoration of the establishment of the Institute of National Workforce and the 21st year foundation of HURRARC .

The occasion which attracted hundreds of members and non-members of the organization commenced on Thursday, December 5 at the National Youth Commission office at the National Stadium in Freetown.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, the National Director, HURRARC, maintained that the conference is aimed at informing the general public and the world about the institute, its achievements , challenges and the needs of the beneficiaries.

He further stated that they were very happy to discuss and think together to see how best they can solve the nation’s economic problems.

He stressed that there was need to also ask the country’s authorities to assist them take this country out of decadence which was why they decided to create a national workforce to involve every workable Sierra Leonean in the process.

He also stated that since the founding of the organization, no Government Official has ever engaged them as they fight to help Government and the private sector.

He re-echoed that the National workforce was created not for the purpose of making money but to ensure that the lives of young people are developed.

He debunked tribalism and advised listeners to think as Sierra Leoneans, as he maintained that one major reason for the creation of the Institute of National Workforce is to encourage nationwide participation and discourage both regionalism and tribalism.

In his statement, the National Secretary General of HURRARC, Mr. Jacob M. Kebbie, stated that the human resource capacity given to them is able to bring success in the human resource capacity building of the country.

He disclosed that they have over fifty committed voluntary staff members both in Freetown and in the provinces, while they have a membership of over five thousand persons around the country, which he described as a great success.

He also revealed they have acquired over one thousand hectares of land for agriculture and construction programmes in Waterloo and other parts of the country.

He also revealed that they have twenty four departments including Tailoring, Nursing, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Computer Studies, Soap Making, and Gara Tie Dying among others.
