Gambian Golfer eyes Golf Open Championship
Gambian professional golfer based in England, Kebbah Drammeh, popularly known as Tiger, has told this press that the 2013 Golf Open Championship trophy belongs to him as his excellent performance in America before coming to Sierra Leone is a big motivation to him.
He made this pronouncement at the Freetown Golf club on Monday, November 25.
“I did not perform well in the 2011 Golf Open in Sierra Leone because of flight problems and I only jetted in town on the day of the tournament and did not have time to train on the course well; this course is quite different from other courses in Europe. But this time round, I came in earlier and had enough training sessions and trust me, I’ll clinch the championship on the December 1,” he boasted.
The Gambian golf icon has competed in almost all Golf tournaments across the world and is regarded as one of the best in Africa. He praised the executive of the Freetown Golf Club for organizing one of the best tournaments in West Africa.
