Police confiscate seven bundles of jamba
The Local Unit Commander of the Habour Police Station in Freetown, Superintendent Sanie Sesay, on Saturday, October 19 this year, disclosed to Journalists at his Ross Road office in Freetown, that a joint operation that was conducted by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Operational Support Division, AIG Kofie, and his Division, succeeded in impounding seven bundles of marijuana locally known as jamba.
He explained that at about 11:30 pm, around New York, Yams Farm junction Police Constable 9058 Kallay Daimba, attached to the Jui workshop saw seven Poda-podas, one big truck and one Renault taxi cab with registration number AHW 768 offloading bundles of load which he said the Police Constable suspected to be jamba.
He further explained that the taxi cab and the seven bundles of jamba are presently at the Ross Road Police Station in Freetown. He said that three of the Poda-podas and the truck drove off with large quantities of jamba marijuana.
He disclosed that the suspects that were arrested are presently detained at the Ross Police Station in Freetown waiting to appear in Court later this week.
