MP donates to flood victims
Member of Parliament for Constituency 99, Hon, Alimamy G. Kargbo, has donated ten bags of cement and two trips of sand to flood disaster victims at Williams Street, Portee in Freetown.
Making the disclosure was the Councilor of Ward 392 Alusine Corade Conteh at his residence in Portee who yesterday disclosed that this is not the first time Hon. A.G Kargbo has made such a laudable donation to the people of Constituency 99 as during the month of Ramadan he personally donated 35 bags of rice to 35 mosques in Constituency 99 quite apart from the 20 bags of rice that were donated by President Ernest Bai Koroma.
He added that quite recently a heavy storm destroyed houses in Constituency 99 adding that he donated zinc and cash to the people.
Councilor Corade Conteh, highlighted among other things that Hon. A.G. Kargbo, will be donating 60 scholarships to deserving students in Constituency 99. Among the categories to benefit in the scheme are those taking the National Primary School Examination (NPSE), Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and West Africa School Certificate Examination (WASCE) respectively.
He added that the dynamic Honorable Kargbo is planning to do more and more for the people of constituency 99.
According to Councilor Corade, Hon. A.G Kargbo is the best Member of Parliament in President Koroma’s government, because he has done so much for his people since he enter Parliament in 2007.
Countless number of people have benefited from micro credits, employment opportunities, medicare, etc., said Corade Conteh.
