ACC raids city schools
This press has been informed that officials of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Friday July 19th conducted an unannounced visit to some primary schools in the Eastern, Central and Western parts of Freetown.
Among the schools visited were E B Williams Municipal school situated at Jomo Kenyatta Road and the Rural Education Community (REC) primary school at Hastings, just to name a few.
Inside source has it that the visit of the ACC was in connection that some primary and secondary schools in Freetown were demanding the sum of Le 10,000/Le 5,000/and Le 20,000 respectively from pupils collecting their report cards, which the ACC considers a blatant corrupt practice.
Unfortunately for the ACC officials, some of the schools mentioned were not caught in the malpractice as they would have been arrested and charged to court.
