NPA okays D&S Associates
A technical team from the National Power Authority (NPA) headed by Deputy Director, Garvie and the Permanent Secretary Alhaji Mohamed Yillah, were charged with the responsibility to monitor and inspect power houses that are currently under construction by D & S Associates of 102 Circular road, Freetown and submit their findings in a report to the Presidential Task Force on Electricity.
According to investigation, almost 96% of the construction contract has been completed except for minor maintenance such as leakages on the roofs that are expected to be done in the shortest possible time.
The technical team showered praise on the Managing Director of D & S Associates, Mr. Con Davies, for a marvelous job and hoped other contractors will emulate the brilliant example of his firm.
The Deputy Director further wished other well-meaning Sierra Leonean firms to do likewise in terms of perfection and timeliness adding that Con Davies and his group has exhibited real craftsmanship in the dispensation of the awarded contract and that it is a clear indication that the country has a reliable firm that can undertake such an infrastructural boost to the admiration of the awarding institution.
Although facilities such as air conditioning and a fire fighting engine was not part of the contractual arrangements, the Technical Team has however requested D&S Associates to provide them for the power houses. However, the Managing Director Mr. Con Davies being a true patriot has already consented to provide the requested items even when they do not form part of the original contract agreement.
