Press release: Sierra Leone OGI Launches Public Beta of new Web Application

The Sierra Leone Open Government Initiative (OGI) wishes to inform the general public that the new OGI web application public beta testing is on.  The website has a portal/forum where people can send petitions and contribute on issues of national interest.  Members of the public are encouraged to engage government ministries, departments and agencies, regarding projects and activities implemented by these institutions.

Open governance should be participatory.  Engaging ordinary citizens in deliberations about the operations of government can increase legitimacy, bring crucial knowledge to bear on public action, add resources and enhance public accountability.

The web site can be accessed by logging on to http://ogi.gov.sl/ or through Google, Bing, Yahoo or any search engine you enter “sierra leone open government initiative” or “ogi sierra leone”

Please report any governance, human rights abuse issues found using our feedback form or send text message through our SMS gateway to numbers: +232 078 826 684/ +232 088 826 684 /+13479605350.

It will also interest members of the public to know that their opinions, contributions, comments, and analysis will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and forwarded directly to the appropriate authorities.

  • There is a isseus that I will like the ministery of Trancesport to look in to. The road from BO to Gondama Where MSF B has a hospital for children under five , is in a very bad shap. The resident mister vehicle was sported this week using that road and it has taken two years with out repairs. MIND YOU THIS ROAD IS LEADING TO A VERY INPORTANT HOSPITAL.
