Non-Division sides, Juba All Stars FC on Thursday 23rd May beat and knocked out Med Kay FC 3-1 in the ongoing Central One Football Association (COFA) non-Division knock-out lboasts league at the Parade field.
The young and talented Juba All Stars FC squad was impressive especially in the first half.
Dribbling wizard, Ibrahim Ebu Conteh scored the opener for Juba All Stars FC in the 17th minute with a powerful header from a right wing cross.
Amada James Mansaray doubled the score for Juba All Stars FC in the 26th minute with a thunderous shot outside the 18 yard box before the break.
Abdul Sesay, popularly known as “Bilos”, increased the score 3-0 mid 2nd half with a beautiful 20 yards volley to guarantee Juba All Stars FC hope to qualify to the next stage of the competition. Med Kay FC scored a consolation goal in the dying minute of the match but the goal was not enough to cancel Juba All Stars FC qualification to the next knock-out stage before making it to the group stage.
Speaking to the Team Manager of the club, Tom-John Monrovia boasted that he has young energetic and talented players who are up to the task and that he is optimistic that his team will clinch the COFA trophy. “We are planning for our next match and we are optimistic that we will become victorious at the end of the 2nd knock-out match and qualify for the group matches,” the confident manager said.
