FIFA instructor to organize goalkeeping meeting
FIFA Goalkeeper’s instructor, Prince Tamba Moses will organize a goalkeepers meeting on Friday 24th May 2013 at the football academy at Kingtom at about 9:00 a.m.
According to the ex-old Edwardians FC and Leone Stars glove man, for far too long there has not been enough good goalkeepers in the country and in this meeting, which will include past, present, and current goalkeeper trainers will discuss the solution to improve the level.
Prince Tamba Moses has played as a goalkeeper for over 20 years and is currently the national team goalkeeper‘s trainer, and according to him there were outstanding goalkeepers in the past but clubs and national team goalkeepers today under-perform, adding that it is a general problem, but “I’m optimistic that with the cooperation of all we’ll achieve our goal,” he said.
There have been major goalkeeping blunders across the country in premiership and national team matches and according to him, coaches are no longer interested in training the goalkeepers and if the issue is not quickly rectified the problem will only get worse.
