In London… Two Sierra Leoneans Found Dead
Reports from England state that two Sierra Leoneans, 31 years old Kpakia Komba and 22 years old Josephine Foday, were last Saturday morning discovered drowned in a swimming pool at the luxury Down Hall Country House Hotel in Essex, UK where they had been celebrating Josephine’s 22nd birthday.
The Down Hall Country House Hotel describes itself as “one of England’s most established country house hotels” and is set in 110 acres of woods and parkland. Double rooms cost about £149 a night.
An inquest into their deaths was opened at Chelmsford Coroners Court yesterday.
Apparently, Miss Foday and Mr Kpakiwa were found at about 7.30 pm. Other hotel guests had seen them alive in swimming gear 15 minutes earlier.
The cause of their drowning is yet unclear but London Police are investigating the unfortunate incident but are not treating their deaths as suspicious.
