Kemoh Sesay makes headline in Sierra Leone
Honorable Alhaji Ibrahim Kemoh Sesay (in photo) has immensely contributed in the development of Port Loko in diverse ways than any other politician in that part of the country with the good emulation of the late Sorie Ibrahim Koroma.
After almost four years in the political cold room as adviser to President Koroma, Alhaji Kemoh Sesay, Minister of Public and Political Affairs, has resurrected for sure.
As a vibrant politician who represents the All People’s Congress (APC) party in Parliament during the propositional representation period where he excelled and a member of the opposition party in Parliament.
Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Kemoh Sesay briefly held the position of Minister of Transport and Aviation when President Ernest Bai Koroma won the election in 2007 and was embroiled in a cocaine case until he came out clean, and just within eight months assisted several youths in Port Loko and the country as whole.
His appointment as Political and Public Affairs Minister by President Koroma has reawakened the hopes of his advisers and those who see him as a savior.
Apart from the respect he commands in his native land of Port Loko District, Kemoh Sesay has also been referred to as a reliever and a breath of fresh air. His recent intervention in the district in the area of sports and education has seen him eclipsing his political contemporaries. He is a politician who has never been in the news for the wrong reasons. His concern for the well-being of the ordinary man has won him applause from within and outside the APC. His commendations have come from his perceived political opponents, a clear indication that he is a mixer.
A political commentator stated President Koroma was right in appointing Kemoh Sesay as the Minister of Political Affairs replacing his political rival from the same District Hon. Alpha Kann.
He his disturbed at the political tension in his District and if only he is chanced he will reconcile all the dissenting fractions because his concern is to see a united District for the benefit of all.
According to findings there is no divisiveness within the two political gurus only certain individuals that are trying to bring discrepancy between the two as they crack jokes and share things in common.
