because she was politically, economically and socially
raped by your predecessors who knew nothing
but making fool of the children of Mama Salone
and stealing every penny that could make their life better?

Where were you when your benefactors plundered Mama Salone
and plunged her into war and chaos that relegated our country
to the backyard of social, political and economic poverty
which still haunt us despite our natural riches?

by building roads, skyscraper, stadiums and many more
visible developments which did not help the children of Mama Salone to
have a square meal a day, clean drinking water, affordable housing or
school fees for their children?

Where were you when there was love in our eyes as innocent love
showed its beautiful face to the lazy giants who did not know their work
but continued to load their guns to put an end to the very existence
of a beautiful life with a beautiful face that then knows no love but hatred?

Where were you when love cried for peace and thought of
a reunion with the powerful gunmen who knew nothing
but killing innocent lives that knew nothing but love?
Where were you, De Pa?
Where were you when we jumped joyfully seeing love, hatred
and peace walking hand in hand into their pregnant future,
a future that now has no hope?
You make no effort to know!

Where are you when we see our Mama Salone being raped again
by greedy men you have blest and given the green light to suck our
blood in daylight promising that we shall see heaven before we go to our graves?

Where are you when we see Our Country become a graveyard despite
Bumbuna’s landing in all phases and the cables have not been stolen?
Where are you, De Pa?
Where are you when many people scramble to get a bucket of
drinkable water to prepare decent food, feed their children
and perform other chores in their houses?
Where are you, De Pa?
Where are you when the ancestral land of the people is being
grabbed by outsiders who do not have us at heart but think of
making huge profits to better their own homes very far away from the bed of
Mama Salone whilst you continue to promise us the moon and the shining stars?
Where are you, De Pa?
Where you are when Your Agenda for Change has not changed
our lives and Your Agenda for Prosperity is only causing disparity
and depravity and make a lot of people go hungry
whilst you continue to work with outsiders who shower
you praises for a work you have not done?

Where are you when education in the country is becoming a privilege
again and not a right as was said by your benefactor many years ago
making many parents paralysed by the huge cost they are faced with daily?
