ECOWAS Summit Now Slated For February 16th
Sierra Leone’s Permanent Representative to the Economic Community of West African States Commission, (ECOWAS) His Excellency Henry O. Macauley has confirmed the change of date for a pending ECOWAS summit.
 “Latest notice from the ECOWAS Secretariat states, “Tuesday February 16th, as the new date”. Said “High Commissioner Henry O. Macauley.
 The confirmation came two days after another notice was sent out by ECOWAS Communications Department, Informing all accredited Diplomatic Missions stationed in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Heads of State and Governments of member states about the new scheduled date.
 According to the notice, “The summit of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government will take place
On Tuesday, 16th February 2010 in Abuja and not Monday, 15th February 2010 as
Earlier announced”.
“The agenda for the summit remains the same as previously published. “This
Includes the consideration of the report of the Council of Ministers which
Took place in November 2009 in Abuja as well as the 2009 Annual Report of the
President of the ECOWAS Commission.” The Notice reads.
