Sierra Paradise Resort – Sierra Leone’s unique gem

Sierra Paradise Resort was established 5 years ago in Yurika, 30 minutes from Lungi International Airport. Built on a story of romance, Sierra Leonean Samuel Williams and his French wife had a dream for Samuel to return to Sierra Leone and be part of the revival of his country after the brutal civil war. Currently the get away from it all resort has 5 bungalows close to the ocean with its own restaurant and bar, available for nights, weekends, holidays, seminars, cultural events, games and activities. Sierra Paradise Resort takes great care of its guests providing its own excursions, trekking by 4 x 4 or walking, boat trips, fishing, relaxing and activities on the beautiful beach.

Sierra Paradise Resort welcomes guests from all over the world and its success has enabled the additional building of an 8 room hotel, 5 minutes from Lungi International Airport, built in European style, dedicated to professionals who travel in and out of Sierra Leone, which will be opened in the next few months. All rooms will be equipped with a bathroom with toilet, shower, and hot water, clean air, TV, and Internet access. Breakfast and transfer to the airport and to the ferry will be available to guests.

Sierra Paradise Resort and Hotel is the owner’s way to develop tourism in the country; the recent infrastructural progress within the country helps enormously to achieve their dream.

Sierra Paradise Resort and Hotel participates in local school development and agriculture projects, having created the Mission Sierra School, which started with 100 students in 2008, and now has 350 students and counting. They have built two water wells and plan to build toilets for the school.

On the agricultural front, Sierra Paradise Resort plans to develop gardening for the villagers.

Economically, Sierra Paradise Resort participation consists in job employment, trade with local partners (food, building, guides) and they have plans to develop further projects in the coming years.
