SWASAL election
Monday, 4th MARCH 2013: The Electoral Commission of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists hereby informs members of the Sport Writers Association, Sierra Leone (SWASAL) that election for a new executive is slated for 16th March, 2013 at the National Headquarters of Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ). In this regard, nominations would be declared opened on Tuesday 5th March and will close on Monday 11th March, 2013.
Nomination fees are prescribed below:
National Executive positions:
- President – Le 150,000
- Vice President – le 150,000
- Secretary General – Le 150,000
- Assistant Secretary General – Le 150,000
- For all other positions, nomination fee is Le 100,000
Regional Executive positions:
- President – Le 100,000
- Vice President – le 100,000
- Secretary General – Le 100,000
- Assistant Secretary General – Le 100,000
- For all other positions, nomination fee is Le 80,000
Nomination forms can be obtained from SLAJ office, 56 Campbell Street, Freetown from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Mon-Fri. List of nominees will be published on Tuesday 12th March, 2013.
Members are hereby reminded that only those who meet the eligibility criteria as enshrined in the SWASAL constitution will be allowed to vote and be voted for.

You may well be aware that Armani Kamara from Man City Sierra Leone has been accused of stealing football boots by FC Johansen which is totally untrue.
The people in the UK who have donated all of the football equipment and boots free of charge are totally outraged as to what is happening to Armani.
Publicity and support is growing for Armani.
