AIG Daboh determined to stop lawlessness in north/west region Sierra Leone

Port Loko, February  (SLENA): The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of North Western Region has expressed his determination to fight against lawlessness in line with the clarion call of President Ernest Bai Koroma.

Foday U K Daboh said he operates on a zero tolerance principle while enforcing law and order in his area of responsibility, citing the dozens of unlicensed, unregistered and uninsured motor bikes his men had arrested recently.

The North-Western Region AIG said he has also handled about eight industrial strikes professionally without the use of a single shot since he assumed office early last year.

Mr. Daboh said he inherited the office with major constraints including inappropriate office space for the various departments of the Sierra Leone Police, low morale among personnel and high public expectation.

He told SLENA how he has been able to establish a regional headquarter in Port Loko town, enhanced the provision of regular means of transportation, provision of regular fuel supplies in all the five divisions in the region.

He said he intends to probe into the causes of the frequent disturbances in learning institutions through regular meetings with the public on law and order.
