Eddie K donates three sets of brass band equipment to schools in Yele

Yele, February 7 (SLENA):  One of the illustrious sons of  Gbonkolenken  Chiefdom, Tonkolili District, Eddie K Sesay alias Edie K,  a prominent businessman in Freetown, has donated three sets of brass band equipment  to the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA)  Secondary School and the Roman Catholic Primary School in Yele in the  Gbonkolenken  Chiefdom, respectively.

According to Mr. Sesay, the gesture is not only to ginger up the pupil in their educational pursuit, but a contribution towards the educational development of his respective alma maters.

He reaffirmed his commitment to improve on the bands and disclosed plans to assists the two schools in transforming dreams into reality.

He pleaded with his fellow brothers and sisters in and out of the country to help in the promotion of their alma maters in that part of the countr.

Speaking to the Sierra Leone News Agency (SLENA) shortly after the donation, the Acting Principal of the SDA Secondary School, Mr. Abdul Raka Sanko, said the brass band of Chinese made is a big gesture to the school.

Such a humanitarian gesture, Mr. Sankoh added, will promote the social activities of the school and make it attractive to pupils and outsiders and expressed the hope that other sons and daughters of the chiefdom will emulate the exemplary goodwill of Mr. Sesay.

Meanwhile, the Acting principal pledged to utilize the facility for its intended purpose as one Mr. Emmanuel Conteh, a teacher of the school is presently training the pupils on how to use the musical instruments.
