Usman Boie and others face State House to take Oath
Monday, 21st January 2013, was a memorable and exciting day at the Office of the President at State House in Freetown which was jam packed with youths including traders who accompanied some of the most vibrant ministers and deputies recently appointed by His Excellency, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.
Among them was Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara whose Curriculum Vitae (CV) was so attractive to all those who threw eyes on it, wondering why Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara had not been in governance in these years except now. With a friendly disposition, good records, and accommodating everybody, Alhaji Usman Boie promised His Excellency and the rest of Sierra Leoneans to perform to expectation.
While taking the oath of office, the statement of the Minister of Education Science and Technology, Dr. Minkailu Bah who everybody was casting blame on just because that he is media shy, had so much good things for our children.
Dr. Bah spoke about his disciplinary action against unqualified and ghost teachers that are collecting salaries which they don’t deserve as well as students who pay for marks to be promoted into new classes without deserving such promotion.
But since he has been unrelenting in putting a stop to such malpractices his name had remained in bad books of teachers all over country but however, while approving him for the second term parliament urged him to continue his good work.
Also to take the oath was Ibrahim Mansaray (aka Washingai), one of the popular young men to be appointed into ministerial. He is seen as a model suitable to represent the youth of Sierra Leone in any capacity. Some youth spoken to said before Washingai was nominated he was big brother of the youth and now that he has been appointed Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation they believe he will perform.
Hon. Alpha Khan is a household name in Sierra Leone and there is nothing to be doubtful of. Alpha Khan is also a role model in the ruling APC and now he has taken the mantle as Information Minister. There is also no doubt that the Deputy Minister of Education, Mamoud Tarawallie who had served as Deputy Minister of the Health will do well in his new assignment just he as he worked hand in glove with his boss, Mrs. Zainab Bangura and made sure they delivered on President Koroma’s agenda through the Free Health Care initiative, the reason the president sent him to join the strict minister of Education Science and Technology to improve on present educational system in the country.
Outside of State House after the ceremony, Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara said that he will leave no stone unturned just to make sure that his brothers, sisters, or aunts in the business sectors realized something.
He observed that “if shop owners sell goods wholesale and retail, how do they expect the poor traders to survive?”
