As President Koroma champions operation WID, Grassfield Youths Organization take the Lead
As Operation WID takes the lead across the country, the Youth Empowerment Development Association, in collaboration with Grassfield Community Elders over the weekend championed a cleaning exercise and the naming of major streets within the Grassfield (old Railway line) community.
Speaking during the one day cleaning exercise, the acting Youth Chairman and Head of the Youth Empowerment Development Association, Mr. Mohamed Kamara aka MED-KAM, pointed out that as President Koroma takes the lead in weeding out lawlessness, operation WID is championing the course at community level. Mr. Mohamed Kamara noted that their organization is taking the lead in ensuring their community is decent and clean.
He commended the Deputy Mayor of the Freetown City Council, Madam Hannah Jah aka Mama Na Wan who has been supporting them all this while.
Mr. Mohamed Kamara pointed out that they are not seeing the co-operation of the MP for Constituency 101, Hon. Salam Kanu whom they describe as ungrateful to the community, noting that since he was voted for in November 17th election under the APC he has never come to the constituency to thank his supporters.
