To God be the glory
It is obligatory for us as Sierra Leoneans to be grateful to God, the ‘Inter Religious Council’ and especially the ‘Body of Christ’ for being there for us as a nation when situations degenerate to a certain point of uncertainty and chaos.
Monday 3rd December saw a meeting between the ruling APC re-elected President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and the main opposition SLPP flag bearer, Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio at State House, organized by Christian organization ‘The Body of Christ’.
The meeting was a historic one because both leaders of the two main political parties in the country were hugging and shaking hands as Bishop Abu Koroma of the Flaming Ministry was rendering prayers of peace, unity, and God’s guidance for them and the country as a whole.
It was a solemn and peaceful scene, though Maada Bio insisted in his speech that the 2012 elections were flawed but made it categorically clear, that he does not hate President Koroma nor the APC party and maintained that he (Maada) is Sierra Leonean.
Indeed Maada Bio is a compatriot, a true Sierra Leonean, for the simple fact that the ‘Body of Christ’ was able to organize a peaceful meeting for the main two flag-bearers and political stakeholders of the November 17 polls.
It is now time for every Sierra Leonean to tighten their belts for the developmental drive for Mama Salone and put away all political differences for the sake of our beautiful mother land.
We doff our hats, to the Christian ‘Body of Christ’, His Excellency Ernest Bai Koroma and Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio, for a rational and patriotic move.
Doubts, uncertainty. and sinister anticipations by the people have been put to rest. To God be the glory.
