Chinese to Revive Rotuma Agriculture Project

It has been revealed that the Government of Sierra Leone has awarded a contract to a team of Chinese investors to revive the Rogan Potho program named Rotuma Agricultural Project in Bombali District, Shebora Chiefdom.

Taking to this medium the founder and hero championing several projects in that part of the country, Anthony Bai-Kamara aka Gbanka–Potho Senior Voice of Bombali, said this is a period of transformation and the Agenda for Prosperity as was quoted by our president in Sierra Leone, noting that he started this project several years ago with support from the British Government through the High Commission in Sierra Leone, and that  this time round the locals tilling this part of the country will gain around 300 to 500 job opportunities.

He noted that they will focus mainly on agriculture and the rearing of different kinds of animals including a piggery. Mr. Anthony Bai-Kamara said they are going to make use of over 100 hectare or acreages of land to see the success of this project. He went further to commend the Paramount Chief of Bombali Sheborah Chiefdom P.C Bai-Sheborah Kasanga II,  for supporting them all this year.

Meanwhile machinery, tractors, and equipment to be used is arriving in the country. Anthony Bai- kamara called on all sons and daughters of that part of the country to all have hands on deck for the development of mama Salone.
