As FC Kallon Withdraw From Caf Competition…
Diamond Stars, FC Johansen to Represent Sierra Leone
For 2013 CAF competitions, 2012 Premier League runners-up FC Kallon have withdrawn their participation from next year’s Confederation Cup competition and no reason has been given for their action. (Photo; Diamond Stars FC)
Sierra Leone will now be represented by Diamond Stars FC of Kono who won the 2012 premiership competition.
This is Diamond Stars first achievement in the premiership since it was formed in 2001.
Isha Johansen’s gem boys, FC Johansen who came 4th in the league will battle in the confederation competition.
EE Lions who came third in the league were to replace FC Kallon but their refusal gave the golden opportunity to FC Johansen.
The draws for both competitions will be in December 2012.
