FDID-SL in post election violence sensitization
Foundation for Democratic Initiative and Development Sierra Leone (FDID-SL) on 21November 2012, engaged youths on post election violence at the Mangoroh Lorry Park and in Koidu city, Kono District, with funds from British High Commission.
In a related development FDID-SL on Sunday 2nd December also conveyed the same message of post election violence to Youths that are normally found along the Lumley beach area.
FDID-SL Director Hinowa E. Saidu and programme officer Habib T. Kamara joined youths in a football match after which they engaged them in the same message of peace, tolerance and National cohesion.
Mr. Habib T. Kamara implored on the youths to continue to display and sustain peace, democracy and development.
Before the elections FDID-SL also sensitized 19 communities on the need to stay away from violence, with a promise to visit more communities in the province and other headquarter towns preaching sensitization on post election.
This advocacy was funded by Action Aid Sierra Leone.
